13th December 2018

It's that time of year again!

This year we saw Jack and the Beanstalk presented by Derby LIVE and Little Wolf Entertainment Ltd.

The big names in this years production include Duncan James as Jack Trott, who most people will know from the pop group Blue. Morgan Brind as Dame Trott who co-founded Little Wolf Entertainmant Ltd back in 2009 and Lawrence Boothman as Cess Pitt (Britain's Best Baddie!)

The scene was set at Dappy Darley Village Fete and included Derby based humour throughout including an 'Ay up me Duck' stall and references to Chaddesden and Swad!

The stage visionaries and special effects including Jack climbing the beanstalk and the Giant making his stage appearance were superb! As well as an extra special glow in the dark routine which left the audience mesmerised!

The story of Jack flows well and keeps the audience involved at all times, with a great choice of well-known sing-along songs supported by a talented troop of dancers of all ages!

The show was filled with funny one-liners: Cess pitt - 'I'm so lazy my nose wont even run' and lots of giggles especially at Dame Trotts Icecream Dairy!

The stage characters Simple Simon, Cess Pitt, Princess Jill, King Dominic, Fairy Story and of course Pat the Cow all did a wonderful job of bringing the village of Dappy Darley to life!

Mya (aged 9) and Holly (aged 7) had this to say about the show:

'It was so exciting, our favourite part was when Dame Trott couldn't stand up at the Icecream Dairy! We laughed so much our cheeks still hurt!'.

We absolutely recommend the show to other families; we're sure no one will leave feeling anything other than Christmassy and happy!

Thanks again to Derby Arena, Derby LIVE and Little Wolf Entertainment.
