Ten films will be shown from 7th September until 22nd December 2018
This Autumn QUAD is partnering with Derby Cathedral for a programme of ten cinema screenings in the unique surroundings of the Cathedral nave.
To start the season QUAD's monthly horror film strand Fright Club presents two horror films in September, Nicolas Roeg's chilling Don't Look Now (15) screening on Friday 7th September at 8:45pm and '70s horror The Wicker Man (15) screening on Saturday 8th September at 8:45pm. Doors are open from 8:00pm on both evenings.
There will be two screenings of The Greatest Showman (PG), on 26th October at 6.30pm and The Greatest Showman (PG) with a Singalong led by Derby Cathedral Choir, on 9th November at 6.30pm (doors are open from 5.45pm for both screenings).
On 31st October for Halloween there are two screenings, The Princess Bride (PG) at 5.30pm (doors from 4.45pm) and Frankenstein & Bride of Frankenstein (PG) double bill at 7.45pm (doors are open from 7.15pm).
Two screenings in November will be part of the British Film Institute’s Comedy Genius season. Sister Act (PG) will screen on 21st November at 5:30pm, followed by a screening of The Life of Brian (15) at 8.30pm. The screenings will also include Projection Mapping on the outside of the Cathedral, this will take place prior to the films, from 5:00pmand again from 7.30pm.
Two Christmas-themed screenings on 22nd December are: A Muppet Christmas Carol (U) at 4:30pm and Elf (PG) at 7.30pm.
Tickets for all the screenings (apart from The Greatest Showman Singalong) are £13, £11 concessions or £10 for those aged under 25 years. Tickets for The Greatest Showman Singalong are £18, £13 concessions or £12 for those aged under 25 years.
