Country Park - Open all year round
We are one of North West Leicestershire’s hidden gems, comprising of a Museum of iron making and social history, a narrowboat for trips along the canal, fishing along its banks, woodlands for exploring and a great place for a picnic and all with free parking.
We hold events throughout the year, ranging from free to enter and paid, so there is something for everyone.

Take a leisurely trip along part of the restored Ashby Canal upon our beautiful heritage boat, The Joseph Wilkes.
Trips take 15 minutes and give you the chance to see the canal from a new and unique view point.
The trips leave every 20 minutes starting at 10.20am with the last trip at 3.40pm
