Spectacular Shardlow Inland Port Festival featuring the “Floating market” and Historic working boats with so much happening - choose where you want to visit from the Festival Map free from the field car park DE72 2GP.
Kids enjoy free Punch & Judy show from the Secret Garden, miniature train rides at the Village Hall, the famous Stone Hunt and a prize for completing the “fun boat quiz” as well as goodies to buy from the “Floating Market” and a fabulous fun fair.
Mum, Dad and Grandparents chill watching live bands with a beer, or exploring the various market stalls throughout the village. Soak up the atmosphere of this historic village with its beautiful canal scene. Bring your own musical instruments and reserve a spot at “Buskers Corners” to get involved.
Enter your four-legged best friend in the fun dog show, check out the “Food Court” and look out for Ebony the friendly Shire Horse, Morris Dancers, an exhibition of children’s artwork and much more all set in the atmosphere of a historic, nationally recognised Heritage Inland Waterways Port right here in the East Midlands - simply not to be missed!
Free visitor moorings from Derwent Mouth Lock number 1 to Wilne Lane bridge number 2.
There is a free disabled car park and for the main field car park we ask for a £5 donation per vehicle, which goes towards the cost of hosting the Festival.
