Derbyshire's Metro Bank One-Day Cup fixture against Worcestershire Rapids has been selected as the Derbyshire Cricket Community Day, with plenty of fun activations and showcases of local organisations planned.
The fixture, delivered in partnership with the Derbyshire Cricket Foundation, will take place at The County Ground on Friday 2 August and will see Derbyshire face the Rapids in an enthralling 50-over encounter, as Mickey Arthur's side look to compete for a place in the knockout stages.
The Community Day will see fun activities, such as face painting, circus skills, a bouncy castle and cricket-based games with the Derbyshire Cricket Foundation, to create the perfect way to spend a day in the school holidays.
A host of local charities, including Derby and Burton Hospitals Charity, Derby County Community Trust and Parkinson's UK, will also be attending, with a showcase area set up in the Marquee to exhibit what they do and how they could help you.
