Calling all early birds to celebrate International Dawn Chorus Day for a mindful 5am bird walk around the parkland. As the sun rises and nature awakens, immerse yourself in the enchanting melodies of the dawn chorus!
This mindful morning bird walk experience will be led by one of Hardwick’s own bird enthusiasts to help identify the charming chirping of British songbirds. It is hoped to hear/spot birds including Thrushes, Blackcaps, Warblers, and Finches, amongst others.
This walk is suitable for anyone over the age of 14. It is a gentle paced walk taking place between 5am and 8.30am, over a distance of 3 to 3.5 miles. There may be moderate difficulty as the route includes a hill and some rough terrain.

Meeting point: Please meet the start of Lady Spencer’s Wood. There will be the chance to use the toilets in the car park before the walk commences.
What to bring and wear: Please wear sturdy outdoor shoes and outdoor clothing in line with the weather. Bring appropriate snacks and water, if needed. Binoculars are great, but not essential for the experience. A
