Treak Cliff Cavern in Castleton is famous throughout the world for its unique and large deposits of Blue John stone and houses some of the most beautiful cave formations found in the UK.
Take a self-guided audio tour (using your own smart phone), enjoy the amazing views across the Hope Valley, browse the well-stocked gift shop and catch your breath in the newly-refurbished visitor centre, café and picnic areas. The cavern is open from 9:30am every day (except 25th December); the last Entry is at 4.00pm (3.00pm between November 1st and February 28th).
The Café is open everyday between 10am and 4pm for takeaway for sweet and savoury snacks, hot and cold drinks including our exclusive locally brewed Treak Cliff Cavern IPA.
